About Omega Canterbury

Omega Canterbury was established in December 2024 by Asitha Abeysinghe and Alisi Tupuailei who have been working colleagues and friends for many years

Having understood that there was little representation of the Omega brand of Aluminum Joinery in the Canterbury region, Asitha and Alisi joined forces to establish Omega Canterbury in Sydenham, Christchurch.

Both Asitha and Alisi have extensive experience in the industry. They share common values that are grounded in the belief that strong relationships, excellence in workmanship, respect, integrity and hard work will lead to business success. Thus, Omega Canterbury was brought to life.

Asitha comes from an engineering background that has been strengthened with strong business management skills. With over 12 years in the aluminium joinery industry, Asitha’s experience stems from understanding the aluminium joinery production systems and using technology to drive efficiency and growth. Asitha is an advocate for sustainable business practices understanding that there is a growing need to be a carbon conscious business while building products and services that promote energy efficiencies.

Alisi is a renowned professional rugby player with world class status representing both New Zealand and Japan. On his return back to New Zealand after his rugby contracts drew to an end, Alisi worked and managed a renowned Glass factory in Christchurch before he went on to open his own Glazing business. His experience and expertise in glazing is supplemented by skills he possesses as a professional athlete including resilience, adaptability and an unwavering desire to win.

Omega Canterbury is a new and ambitious company, founded with a clear vision and strong purpose.

While the company is at the beginning of its journey, the passion, dedication, and commitment to excellence are firmly established. Omega Canterbury is driven to make a mark in New Zealand’s residential and commercial construction sectors by delivering aluminium joinery solutions that stand out for quality, performance, style, and efficiency.
